| Ever seen
a photograph like this? I didn't think so. Yep, it is real. I have the 35mm
negative to prove it.
This is a photograph of the World Trade Center being hit by lightning in July of 2000. It was captured by me, Sean Gautreaux, from my window in Jersey City, New Jersey. I was able to capture this photograph under very unique conditions. 1. it was not raining. 2. there wasn't any fog. 3. it was the last available space on the film. 4. I didn't even see it strike initially as I was looking away. 5. the camera did not shake. I captured 3 bolts that night, but this final one flickered and gave me a great exposure.
